For the last two days, I attended a conference for management training. That was the good part. The bad part? Lunch.
Lunch was at the hotel restaurant, which only served a buffet style meal. They would not do anything off of the menu. The first day was fine, and I came in at .5 points under my daily allowance of 44. The second day was a nightmare. We had 40 minutes to eat lunch, I had already had a McDonald's breakfast that morning, which was 18 points (which I will NEVER do again) and the buffet was catfish, coleslaw, hushpuppies, rice pilaf, and beef tips. so I over ate.
Let's just say that I am very glad for my weekly point allowance of 35 extra, because my point total for yesterday was over 60.
I really need to plan out my meals now.

I have been lazy, and I have eaten way too much of the wrong foods.
Cheesecake, Mozzarella Sticks, Homemade goodies from people here at work. Too much, too much, too much.
I have had people tell me that I need to wait until after the holidays to start this, to not worry about the calories, not worry about the weight. It will be easier once all the festivities are over with.
Christmas parties, dinner parties, family parties...When does it end?!
And I feel like I have the munchies. You know, that feeling you get when you just can't get enough to eat, or want to eat everything in site?
I want to hang my head in shame as I have fallen far off of my diet over the past week or so.
It really is hard this time of year.

The last few days have been rough.
I have been off my diet, and have gained 2 pounds back. I am not sure why, but I have just been on a "Munchy" attack lately, where I have been not wanting to stop. But, I still have the loving support of my wife, who is pushing some tough love my way...like informing me she will be a guest blogger if I don't get back on my diet, and things like that, but I am telling everyone out there about it and climbing back into the saddle (again) of diet and exercise.
As I have read, if you fall off, don't quit. Get back up and keep going.
And that is what I am doing.

You know, sometimes it sucks being alone in the house.
This past weekend, my wife and our girls went to Oklahoma with her Mother and I had the house to myself. So I told you in this blog, in this post, how I blew my diet this past Saturday. Yeah, I blew it that Saturday night and Sunday too.
I had to go to Walmart for something, and walked by the frozen foods section, and yes, I bought ice cream. Dryers Cookies and Cream. And over a day I ate probably two thirds of it.
And no, I didn't blog about it until now. Because my wife, who is pissed off at me right now, called me on it. So here is my confession, and since then, I have stayed on what I am doing right now. You fall, and then get back up again and keep going forward.
And that is what I am doing. Moving on past this past weekend and moving forward.
I blew it. But that does NOT mean I have failed the entire diet.
